Rapid Tests

by worried8840, Feb 09, 2008 12:24PM
I have been told that in lateral flow rapid tests the test band reacts with hiv antibodies and the control band reacts with normal antibodies in the blood. Is this true? I have been questioning they way my test was administereed, but the control line did show brightly and clear with no sign of a test band. This was all at over 5 months after possible exposure does this garuntee without a doubt no hiv? Could a couple extra drops of the solution cause a bad test?
