Restarting pill after emergency contraception

by Ruby08, Feb 10, 2008 04:13PM
Hi,

I took Levonelle One Step two weeks ago, and told the pharmacist that I wanted to go back onto the pill (cilest) this cycle (I've been off it for about 7 months). She said to take it on the first day of bleeding as usual. I experienced some bleeding two days ago which was quite heavy, more so than spotting, and cramps, so I began taking my pill even though it was a week earlier than expected as I know that can be a side effect of emergency contraception. Now the bleeding seems to have stopped though, and I'm concerned it was just some heavy spotting. What should I do? Continue taking cilest even though it may be the wrong time in my cycle?

Thank you x
