hello...
i had what i think was an outbreak a year ago...see, my boyfriend waited until a year in the relationship until he told me he had herpes...he was afraid i would leave him...after a time, i forgave him and in SOME ways, understood..we have been careful, but now, i am having what i think is an outbreak...on sat. night, it started with pain as i was urinating...as the urine came down, it burned!  and, i hate sitting...it is sore SOMETIMES...there are no bumps that i can see...i did wake up itching this am and then when i scratched (i could not help it) i burned...
now here is the fun part, i have no insurance and it is at the end of the pay period so i cannot afford to go to the doctor yet...not till friday..how do i get through this in the meantime? at some times, i am fine, others, it HURTS!  any advice is SO appreciated
thank you

Hello,

First of all you do not need to wait until friday if the pain is that unbearable take yourself to the Emergency Room, they cannot deny you treatment.  I could just be a UTI, but seek medical attention.  Take care, hope you feel better.

Whatever you have it is NOT herpes. Recurrent Herpes doesn't affect the Urethra which is a good things since the primary attack affecting it burns like hell!!! the rest of it doesn't sound like herpes either. Herpes pain doesn't come and go. It is there until it retreats. You have something else going on downstairs..
