She must have had pelvics with the previous experience? GOSH I do remember how traumatic they were, but my mom could have helped a lot more than she did (different era I guess). I wonder if a woman doctor would be better for her?
Heavy periods that last 2-3 weeks are not normal but I can't help wondering if the pill would help that. Does she have PCOS? or Endo? I too will pray that she will not lose her other ovary, at that age I don't think they would consider that unless it was a total last resort. Fight for her Mama! She needs an advocate, sounds like you are doing just that, good for you!
Please may I caution you ... don't talk about it to your friends and family....it's so embarassing at that age.
Is the specialist an endocrinologist or a gynecologist?
Please let us know how she does.... Tell her she is not alone ... We are happy to help in any way....
Love,
Katie
