New Symptoms - Is sweating something important?

I have MVP with moderate regurg and some amount of coronary artery disease.  Three stents were placed in LAD in July 2007.

For the last six weeks I have been walking between 30 and 45 minutes per day at a moderate pace.  I have had some chest pain but it is not related to the walking (in fact, it seems to lessen during exercise) but last night I had a hard time completing my 45 mins.  After stopping, I had several episodes over the next hour of profuse sweating and then freezing.  I have also had some episodes in the last week or so of weakness in left arm and leg.  It just feels like major fatigue of the muscles on that side.

I am also having some shortness of breath (not a disabling amount) and hoarseness but I don't have any other symptoms of illness (like cold or allergies).

I have scheduled a visit with cardiologist for Wednesday.  Is this significant enough that I should push for an earlier appointment?

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

I hope you have followed the Dr.'s advice.  I'm not a health professional, but the symptoms you have so well defined I've had, and have resulted in problems and procedures on several occasions, including a heart attack, a spontaneous dissection of the RCA and several stents.  If it were me, I'd get checked pronto.

The weakness on one half of your body and hoarseness make me concerned that this may be either a TIA or a stroke. The mitral regurgitation puts you at risk for atrial fibrillation, detected or undetected is a very strong risk factor for stroke.
I am also concerned about the episode of sweatiness and chest pressure following exercise.  If this happened recently, I would pursue emergent care in emergency room, where they can rule out myocardial infarction and a stroke on an emergent basis.
