Endometrial Cancer

I had a total hysterectomy secondary to stage 1 endometrial cancer 2 and 1/2 years ago.  My oncologist obtains CT scans every six months.  This seems a bit extreme to me and another doctor to whom I mentioned this, made a face.  Any thoughts?
