Sudden hearing loss

by Rogue_boy1, Feb 17, 2008 07:11PM
I lost most of my hearing about three days ago.  it wasnt overnight but it was on the 14th of february 2008.  the first night it hurt so badley.  first i tried to take a hot shower and see if the steam would unclog it.  my dad said that it was clogged with mucus.  so then i tried to sleep on the opposite side.  that didnt work.  it is now the 17th of february 2008 and i still cant hear in my left ear.  im starting to get a little scared.  my step-mother told me that we had to candle it out.  i've done that before and it kinda tickles.  i searched it up on Google and i didnt get anything good.  So if anyone has any information on this at all please email me.

Ear candeling is a hoax and practiced by quacks.

Sounds to me that you have a middle ear infection and you need to see an ENT. That is really the bottom line, you are in pain and there is no good reason not to see a doctor... at this point.

If there is a financial issues, most ENTs will give you a sample supply of medication.

I wish you luck
