Leg pain after fever

by saipradeep, Feb 18, 2008 08:26AM
My 4 years(close to 5 years) old has leg pain. He had fever last three days and we give Motrin to control the fever. He has no more fever now, but he could not able walk. His right leg is paining. Perticularly he is not resting his toe on floor. He generally complaints leg pain when he is normal. Doctor said it might be growing pains, just massage will help. He had fabulous seizures when was about 2 years old. That time also after fever gone he could not able to walk. We went to emergency and doctor asked us to stop giving motrin as there was no more fever. He became normal in about two days. From that time onwards we scare when he gets high fever. Particularly when he has temparatures like 104F and 105F.  My main question, does ibrufine causes any kind of muscle pains like this?

Motrin is a NSAID which is suppose to help with muscle pain. He might be having an adverse reaction to it tho. I would check with the DR.  I take Motrin for my server pain that is caused by an autoimmune disease. but I would def. check... HOPE ALL GETS BETTER!
