Small bump at the ligual frenum

by isabellemanneh, Feb 18, 2008 12:16PM
Last month, a small bump appeared at the left side in the inside the lower jaw (at base of the lingual frenum/ floor of the mouth). It first looked like several bumps close to each other. Now, it looks like one large one with undeffinite shape. It cannot be moved around with finger pressure and it is not painful. I was schedualed to remove my left lower wisdom tooth since i have a cavity there. Does it have anything to do with it? Is it serious?

It does not sound serious but certainly should be examined by an oral surgeon.
