Prometrium pills VS Suppositories

From what I've read, suppositories are supposed to offer the best absorbtion with the least side effects.

Not with any experience but from what my Drs advised...suppositories work better.

I agree, but if you're prescribed Prometrium you can use it vaginally. That's how my RE prescribed it.

I have also read the suppositories work best. I used them for the first trimester with DS.

My dr prescribed the pills 3x a day @ 100 mg each. I hope this works, because by progesterone was 6.2 at 5 weeks pregnant

I don't know about the pills, but I used the suppositories, and I think they worked!!!!!

If it were me, I would take the morning and evening one vaginally. When I was pg with DS, I took the 200 mg Prometrium vaginally, one in the morning and one in the evening. I did that for the first 13 weeks, but after around 10 weeks I started taking the evening one orally because I just got tired of sticking them up my hoo ha and I felt pretty good about the pregnancy at that point.
