lesion on the pancreas

What are the odds of chronic pancreatitis turning into pancreatic cancer if now a lesion has been detected on the pancreas?

Hi.  A 1993 study by Lowenfels et al (N Engl J Med 328: 1433–1437) places the cumulative risk of developing pancreatic cancer in patients with chronic pancreatitis at 1.8% after 10 years and 4% after 20 years.
