swollen legs and Thyroid Hormone Replacement Therapy

by doveinturkey, Feb 21, 2008 02:11AM
5 days ago i noticed my legs were swollen, down to my ankles. They haven't gone down this whole time. I went to the doctor this week, incidentally they found a large fibroid in my uterus. The doctor suggests that the swollen legs are just a hormone imbalance. I'm wondering (based on something i read here earlier) if it is due to dehydration/imbalance while i'm exercising. I exercise at a gym just 2 days a week and perhaps i don't drink enough - or should i drink those blue mineral drinks? Also, the Friday before my legs swelled up, we were doing a lot of calf exercises in my aerobics class - perhaps i over did it?
Any help would be appreciated!
