Suboxone & Pregnancy

by kn0ll13, Feb 21, 2008 07:55PM
My wife is 7 months pregnant. And is curently taking suboxone for opoid dependence. She cannot get off of them. What Risks are there for our unborn child, and also will he need to go through an opoid withdrawl when he is born? She is a wonderful mother and the suboxone saved her life.

That sounds like a tough situation. The Suboxone could be harmful, but I would guess the trama of withdrawl would be even worse on a fetus. Call your local pharamacy for information.
