TIA on Valentine's Day

by MrsTJ, Feb 22, 2008 03:11AM
I had a TIA on 2/14/07.  I have had high blood pressure for many years.  Now diagnosed with diabetes.  My right side is so numb.  My right hand feels all tingly.  My face is less so.  I am trying to find out all that I can to get back to strong.  I have been exercising daily for 30 minutes or more. My biggest surprise are these bouts of sadness that hit out of the blue.  Is this emotional sensitivity temporary.  I am 51 year old female who smoked cigarettes.  Thanks all for your being here.

My father had a massive stroke in December.  After his stroke, I spent countless hours on the internet reading and researching the affects of stroke, medical breakthroughs, treatments and all that I could find.

I have consistently read that stroke patients often suffer depression.  I read that the depression takes place because of the devastating disabilities the person is left to deal with.  My father did not have diabetes before the stroke, but after the stroke his blood sugar has been higher than normal.

Are you showing improvement in movement since your TIA?
