Stomach discomfort and chronic diarrhea

My 11 year old son started having stomach discomfort, last Friday. Then that night and through Monday, he had a severe case of chronic diarrhea. His stomach started making loud noises like it was digesting? I really don't know, but it kept making noises throughout the week. The total times my son had diarrhea, was around 12 times for the total week. His stool was very dark in color, almost black, and very watery. I had put him on pedia light and plenty of water. Right now his diarrhea is gone, but his stomach still makes noises, but not that much, and he can't get enough to drink. He's thirsty all the time. His apetite is minium. He gets full after dinner, and doesn't finish his food. Recently his urine had a really bad foul smell to it. I'm guessing he now has an infection of some sort? I took my son to the doctor Monday. He took Blood and stool samples and I am still waiting for the results. ( I was told his test are back but the doctor is extremely busy right now) Right now I am an impatient parent, and would like to know what you think is going on with my son? This has been going on for almost a week.
