UPPER BACK PAIN AT NIGHT

by tomtucker, Feb 22, 2008 06:48PM
2 WEEKS AGO, STARTED WITH PAIN UNDER MY RIGHT BREAST WHICH WENT AROUND THE BACK TO THE MIDDLE OF MY BACK ABOUT A 5 INCH WIDE SPAN.  THOUGHT I WAS HAVING A HEART ATTACK TOOK ASPIRIN.  HAD HEART TEST 4 MONTHS AGO.  HAD BREAST EXAM DURING PHYSICAL 4 MONTHS AGO, SO IT IS NEITHER OF THOSE.  THE LAST 2 WEEKS WHEN I LAY DOWN NOW ON THE COUCH, CAN'T SLEEP IN THE BED, THE PAIN STARTS, NOW IT COVERS THE FULL UPPER BACK BETWEEN THE SHOLDER BLADES.  IT GETS SEVERE, ALMOST A DEEP BURNING FEELING, BY MORNING SHORT OF BREATH, DUE TO THE FEELING SOMETHING HAS ENGULFED MY CHEST WALL.  ONCE I GET UP THE PAIN DISAPATES WITHIN 30 MIN.  LAST 2 DAYS FINGERS & LIP GOES NUMB.  I HAVE HAD C4 SURGERY 7 YEARS AGO SO I KNOW WHAT SPINAL PAIN FEELS LIKE, IT IN NO WAY FEELS LIKE THAT.  BUT TODAY THE MIDDLE OF MY SPINE JUST HURTS WHEN I BEND OVER. I DREAD NIGHTFALL.
