Abnormal Bleeding - A Million Tests Done!!

by japttr, Feb 23, 2008 08:23AM
Hey...I don't know if anyone can help me here but I don't know where else to go with this.  I've got a slew of issues going on, the main one is consistent and random bleeding.  It often occurs after sex and will very lightly spot for one day tops.  I have gone to the doctor about this and after an excruciating endoscopy and colposcopy they found I have precancerous cervical cells as well as BV at the beginning of December. I am taking vandazole for the BV and now have huge clots and heavy bleeding but period is not due for 2 weeks (and this is not a side affect of the medicine).  Very dull cramping but nothing big...I am usually laid out each month with my period.  I am on errin (mini-pills) and did miss the last two days so I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it.  I'm just really frustrated I feel like my doctor hasn't given me any answers and I fear sex because I never know if I am going to start bleeding midway through.  I worry that my body may be having a bad reaction to the vandazole (it has blood thinning qualities) or the precancerous cells have worsened, or it may just be breakthrough bleeding.  Any input will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Vandazole

I was prescribed Vandazole two months after an abnormal pap test.
This was on or about mid January 08. I believe that I had many adverse reactions; most are still occuring.

Reactions to use of Vandazole are as follows:

Numbness and tingling predominanly on lower left extremities.
Brief psychotic reaction of short duration and ongoing insomnia.
Abdominal pain (still occuring).
Re-accuring itching.
Random bruising (appears for short duration in swarms on legs and arms then clears up, only then to reappear in different locations of the arms and legs).
Fevors and chills.

I have recently been diagnosed w/ hpv. somewhat common, but high risk at my age at 50.
