hi
i need some of your help please, my little girl (8) had some symptoms like itching and redness in her lips and inside the mouth i took her to a dentist and he told me its herpes simplex and that many kids have this i am very worried about her cause i was exposed with a guy 5 years ago i dont have any outbreaks but i get the symptoms too, i made an herpeselect test and came out negative, i dont understand..
i really need some help im so depressed i dont want anything to show in her mouth!!

As long as your daughter doesn't have so many cold sores that she can't eat or drink it's not anything to worry about. Only time will tell how often she has recurrences. She might get them everytime she's out in the sun or everytime she has a cold or she might only get them every once in a blue moon as the saying goes.
