NAUSEA, LOSS OF APPETITE, I DON'T FEEL NOURISHED

by Seth828, Feb 24, 2008 06:51PM
For an entire year, I have had chronic nausea with loss of appetite. Sometimes it would be so severe, causing me to vomit.I do not feel nourished or energized after eating meals.I feel fatigue and weak, instead. Also, my face feels warm pretty often for several minutes without a high temperature.I also belch alot throughout the day.I have had several blood tests showing high Bilirubin. I have had a gastric emptying scan which came back negative. My Hida scan percentage was low.Doctors want to remove my gallbladder.I have absolutly no pain though.I am an eight-teen year old student, and this has affected my studies at school. Sometimes the nausea seems worse in the mornings, but mostly it is persistant through out the entire day. I appreciate any ideas for what might be causing this. Thank you

So have you figured out what it might be?  I got really sick back in March, thought it was the stomach flu.  Turned out my bilirubin was 7.3 and I was jaundiced, hand nausea almost all day long, worse in the mornings.  Had an abdominal ultrasound and they said they didn't see anything unusual.  The nausea has gone down, but its still there, its worse for about 2-4 hrs after I wake up.  Just feel tired and kind of bloated in my stomach.  So far the only thing that has seemed to help is drinking 7up and making myself burp.  Will see a gastroenteroligist tomorrow, see what he says.
