by G_S, Feb 25, 2008 06:02PM
Hi...I wanted to find out how do u guys montor the CM and CP (cervix position).
I just check my discharge to see it it is egg white or not....but I might be wrong. Wanted to find out how these two can be monitored to find out the best time of ovulation.

I chart both. You can either check CM internally or externally. I usually check internally, since it's easier to see what the consistency is and since I'm checking my CP anyway :-)  I usually record either creamy, wet or EWCM. Some women get sticky CM, but mine is usually always creamy after O.

As for CP, It's going to be low and firm right after AF and between ovulation and your next AF. As ovulation approaches, however, it will go higher and become more soft. Some women can also detect whether it's open or closed, but I can't really tell the difference, so I only do high/low and firm/soft.

Also, it's easier to reach your cervix when you squat, as opposed to standing up.

Hope that helps!
