flying

by Lori238, Feb 25, 2008 08:46PM
in June 2000 I suffered a subnarachnoid hemhorage of the internal right carotid artery in my brain. I was diagnosed with fibromuscular dysplasia,,then a balloon catheter was inserted into the artery to try stop the bleed. When this was not successful, I had a craniotomy to have the aneurysm clipped. I am now 43yrs old and have never been on an airplane. My family and I are considering going to the Caribbean next month. Is it safe for me to fly considering my past medical history??
