Bipolar disorder and autoimmune hepatitus

I have my first liver biopsy this week and I'm scared of what they'll find. My ANA titer was >=1:1280, and my liver and spleen are enlarged. I'm Bipolar and I know that Cortisone can seriously affect your moods. It's really NOT good for Bipolar people. Does anybody have advice about how to balance one medical need against the other? Neither my Psychatrist nor my GI seem to have much knowledge about the other's specialty.
