Possible Wart

Dr.,

Thank you in advance for your help.  I dated a girl for a about 5 months beginning last March. During that relationship we engaged in unprotected sex a few times the last time being in early July.  About Early september, I noticed something near the bottom of the shaft close to the scrotum that looked like a pimple but could have been a wart.  She cleared all test for STD and no warts.  I tested negative for everything.   I picked at it and it bled a  bit.  Still concerned, I went to a plan parenthood, where the doctor said there was nothing wrong and nothing that looked like a Wart.  I took her word for it, but still was a little anxious.  I let it go as instructed. I had not looked or maybe noticed up until about a week and a half ago where I noticed something similar. It kind of looks like a pimple and when I picked at it again, bled.  It looks like a colored growth a little redder than normal skin. It is slightly raised.  Shiny, perhaps pearly and slightly raised.  I noticed something similar to the left of it if I were looking at my penis.  I am not sure if it is a wart. I think it is a genital wart which I am very upset about it.  To find out either way,  I went to a dermatologist and he looked at it and said he did not think it was a wart.  He said he was 50/50 of a wart and he was more to the lesser side.  He gave me a cream, Novacort and told me to come back in two weeks and we would see from there. He said there was a little something there but could be a lot of different things. I have attached a picture that is best when you zoom in on the red areas.  Thanks for your help and I look forward to your answer.  Thanks again.

It looks like a clogged pore that you picked at, not a wart.  I agree with what your dermatologist said and with his approach.  I suggest you follow his advice and wait things out.  I expect that you'll find there's nothing to worry about and nothing to do.

Take care.
