Wisconsin to provide autism insurance coveage

by mjthewriterdad, Feb 27, 2008 04:56PM
The governor proposed all healthcare insurance companies cover autism treatments.  It p[assed the state senate and now will go to the assembly.  Let's hope it passes the assembly.  The Gov will sign because he first proposed it at his "state of the state" address.

Tis will be a BIG DEAL for us as parents of children with autism!

Wow, Wisconsin is doing something right for once! I hope it goes well too.  Such a shame it couldn't have come earlier, but oh well.

Last Friday, Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano also signed a law requiring insurance companies to provide treatment for people who have autism.

I hope other states will follow suit !     = )
