Can this be my problem?

by cstevenson, Feb 28, 2008 07:09AM
For seven years I have had seizures, arthritis, migraines, hypothyroid (since age 12), exzema on my hand comes and go's, 4 miscarriages, hives that just pop out of no-where, fatigue, left side muscle spasms.  I am on Topomax, and Dilanton (misspelled).  My MRI does not show anything.  Bone scan shows severe arthritis in all bones except tips of fingers, I have foot and hand cramping constantly.  I have recently stopped eating red meat and increased vegi's and this seems to help with immune problem and fatigue.
Sound and light sensitivity.  Doctors do not know what is wrong with me, I have been tested for Lupus, some hormone problem, I have heart palpatations and shortness of breath, chest pain.  But my echo and ekg are fine.  Can this be an option.  Right now I have an Endo, and Family Doctor that maintain myself.

Thank you

Hi!

After reading your post many of your symptoms can be directly related to hypothyroid disease.  I have almost all of the same symptoms, except for a few like seizures.  Your thyroid controls almost every aspect of functioning the body.  Also light and sound sensitivity is a real problem for us migraine sufferers.  It took me about 4 Endo Dr,'s before I ended up with a really good internest.  A good Dr. for thyorid issues doesn't just go by test results they also take in how the patient directly feels.  Keep trying till you find one that will treat not only by the test results but also by how you feel.

Hope you feel better soon  :)

If I were you I would google Celiacs and see if the symptoms could fit.  Alot of your symptoms could point to celiacs, but I haven't heard of seizures in Celiacs.

Also alot of your symptoms fit Candida/yeast overgrowth; I would google that also to see if it could fit.

If you think so just try elimination diet to see if you feel better.
