Lots of unprotected oral

by usatmb, Feb 29, 2008 04:10AM
I received unprotected oral from several prostitutes over a period of 4 weeks.  Giving and receiving. The last encounter was 3 weeks ago.  Two weeks after my first exposure I got flu like symptoms that went away after about 10 days.  I am now experiencing what appears to be swollen lymph nodes above my scrotum where a doctor would normally apply finger pressure and ask you to cough during an examination (poor description).  Directly beside the base of my penis and above my testicals.  They are not in the crease between my leg and pubic area.  I keep looking but can't find swollen nodes in my armpits.  I have 2 questions.  Would ARS flu like symptoms be accompanied by lots of mucous and flem/congestion?    Would groin lymph nodes be in the area I described?  This scare is driving me nuts.  Thank you

NO, You were never at risk for HIV. Possible other STD infections. See your doctor if you have a concern.

I appreciate your quick response.  Does your answer mean NO to both questions?  Thank you very much.

If you didn't have a risk to begin with then what do you think?

I'm still worried about this.  I still have a sore stiff neck, discomfort in my trapezius, headaches, groin and armpits.  I haven't developed a fever and have not been able to find noticable swollen lymph nodes.  It's been 5 weeks since my last possible exposure.  Am I just psycho or is there something to these symptoms?

Hi there,

If you are worried about the contacts that you had, you can conduct a test to allay your fears. A test at the 3rd month of least possible exposure would be good to conclude.

Now, this do not mean I think you are high risk.  As the matter of fact, personally I would not test.

I would suggest testing for STI, including HIV, for all sexually active people every 6 monthly or yearly.

Thank you, I intend on conducting a Home access test when it arrives by mail in a couple weeks.  What is the reason you personally wouldn't test?  Is it because of the risk level?

Well, the risk is like 0 to me.....so I wouldn't test just for this few incidents.

But I do personally go for rountine STIs and HIV test yearly.
