Dizziness

by leanie, Feb 29, 2008 02:36PM
So I have been bulimic for years, and I was just wondering if getting dizzy pretty much everyday is normal. My bulimia is off and on, so that is why I am not sure if the dizziness is connected to the bulimia. I also get frequent headaches but that could be for a number of reasons. After so many years of throwing up I was just wondering if this could be due to it. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I hope I don't answer too many questions in here! Please tell lol.

I do think that headaches and dizziness generally isn't from the years of bulimia. It could come from changes that happened then, but what is more likely is that it comes from bloodpressure changes.

Have you got any idea how your bloodpressure has been lately? Do you struggle with any emotional problems? Could you have anemia or could it be because you don't get enough fluids?

Remember to drink a lot of water - headache is most often a symptom of thirst (next after that, comes tension headaches)!

Good luck!

the dizziness will be due to dehydration.  when u throw up u get rid of fluids so if you drink lots of water u should be ok.  however if you continue to do this the bulimia will control you and the may need professional help to getrid of it.  it starts to control your life and soon everything you do is controlled by when you can binge. at first u control it then it controls you and its so hard to stop.
