Ortho Nightmare

I am 29, and have almost completed my conventional orthodontics.  Recently the connective tissue between the teeth and gums on my upper teeth have become really "loose".  I just thought it was from the movement of the teeth.  Needless to say I now have an abcess on my gums.  I have done all the proper hygeine, I have never even had a cavity.  I am really concerned, due to all that I have read about abcesses.  I do not want to loose my teeth.  My dentist has started my antibotics, I want another opinion on this, could it be from the movement of the teeth from the ortho?  What do I do?  And will the tissue ever connect back to the teeth?
