Sorry to hear about your injury. It seems that you have started having episodes of vertigo after the injury.
I would like you to consider two possibilities here. First on is the Benign Positional Vertigo. In this condition, the whiplash may not be related to your symptoms. The vertigo comes in a particular position of the neck .
The other condition to be considered is called as "Superior canal dehiscence ". This particular condition is associated with accidents or trauma. Superior canal refers to one of the semi-circular canals in the inner ear apparatus (vestibular apparatus), which is responsible for balance.
There are certain important tests and investigations to be done. The ENG (electronystagmography) is a particularly good test. And CT scan of the brain can show if there is any damage done to the inner ear apparatus.
