HI,
Anemia itself, that is low red blood cells, is not a common direct cause of peripheral edema. Likely the CAUSE of the anemia, for example kidney failure, is more directly responsible There are many causes of anemia and some have different mechanisms. Do you have a specific disease process in mind?
