question on size of fetus?

I HAD MY FIRST ULTRASOUND DONE YESTERDAY AND THE DOCTOR SAID THAT THE BABY IS MEASURING AT 14 CM AND THE ULTRASOUND SAID THAT I WAS 10 WKS AND 3 DAYS ALONG. BUT MY BOOKS AND THE WEB SAID THAT THE BABY SHOULD ONLY BE MEASURING AT 4-5 CM, HOW CAN THIS BE? I'M CONFUSED, AND I KNOW IM NOT FARTHER ALONG AS MY HISBAND AND I HAVE BEEN APART SINCE CHRISTMAS DUE TO OUR JOBS.

maybe it was measuring the baby head to foot instead of rump to head. That's all. Or it was off or your looking at the wrong measurements.

Mine said 4.48cm and I'm 12w today.
