Microscopic Hematuria, Pelvic Pain

by lizgordon24, Mar 02, 2008 03:22AM
I didn't know where to post this question. I'm looking for any advice. About 5 weeks ago I had pain in lower right ab and just above pubic bone, but sometimes it's hard to figure out exactly where the pain is coming.  My doctor found microscopic hematuria, and I've gone through all steps urology wise, and they found everything normal including the cystoscope procedure. My pap smear came back negative also.  My pain comes and goes and at times is just so uncomfortable that I have to take a vicodin but even then I still feel pressure.  I have to go to the bathroom around 3 times at night, and my pain starts in the afternoon and gets worse as the day passes   My gynecologist has me scheduled for an ultra sound in a couple of weeks.  Could this be ovarian cancer or anyone have similiar issues that can please just give me advice.  I am so miserable and just am desperate to know what's wrong with me.

Hi~have you noticed that anything (like caffeine) makes it worse? Especially if the pain gets worse as the day goes on?

I've been wondering about the caffeine and I should probably go without it for a day.  I usually only have a maybe 3 cups in the morning.  For the last coupld of years I've starting to drink diet sodas, and I have something about chocolate the last 6 months especially chocolate icecream which all have caffeine.  My periods never used to hurt like they have in the last couple of years.  I just don't know what to think because I never thought that it was going to take this long to find out what is wrong.  I was so confident that my bladder had something wrong with it, but the urologist said that it looked really good. He rushed me after the procedure was done, and let's just say I got in the my car and broke down because I feel as if I am hopeless.

Oh my god thats exactly what just happened to me!! I was rushed afterwards and kept trying to ask questions to get to the bottom of it. Come to find out she didn't even have half the notes from my last visit with her and was telling me the same things and re-prescribing the same "overactive bladder" pills. Then I started to realize she doesn't act like she knows anything we talked about last time and I asked about my pains again and she was like "oh" and "hmm". "Well just try to see when things are worse compared to what you eat" OH MY GOD!!!!!
