Unexplained pain

by jk91199, Mar 02, 2008 01:28PM
My 4 yr old son just had his tonsils and adenoids removed.  He was given morphine after the surgery for pain management.  While in recovery, I noticed his right hand was blotchy with red spots.  The following day, he refuses to open and use his right hand.  He was absolutely fine before the surgery.  I took him to the emergency room the following day after his surgery and they say it's behavioral.  When I ask my son what hurts, he says it is the palm of his hand.  I don't know if I'm over reacting or not.  Please help.
