Hashi vs. Graves

by nenjbn, Mar 02, 2008 05:47PM
My doc just told me that I have elevated TPO ab.  He didn't test the thyroglobulin (sp?) antibodies.  The lab tech mentioned that he called listed the same test twice (TPO) but used two different names for it.

Could this go either way at this point, or am I destined for Hashi?  My dad and sister both suffered from Graves.

TPOab could go either way.

You should ask for antibody tests for Grave's AND Hashimoto's.
You don't know if the test isn't run.
