PCOS and a Yeast Infection ? ?

I was diagnosed w/ PCOS and I'm currently taking Metformin and Clomid to try to conceive. I called the gyno last week about a yeast infection, he was out of the office for two days, his nurse agreed to call in an Rx for Diflucan, as I've had it before. I picked up my Rx on Tuesday, took it and I'm still siffering. I do not have a discharge or have an odor, but my vulvar area and clitoris seem dry, chapped and split in some places. I assumed yeast infection since I had the discomfort associated with the itchiness. It itches terribly and the small tears / cuts from being dry are so painful and itchy, I've purchased vagisil over the weekend and vagasil medicated wipes, with out any relief. My husband thought an antibiotic cream might help. Nope! It still itches and it's painful. It is swollen and stings a little when I urinate. I wake up in the middle of the night itching and I can't stand it!
What can I do to alleviate some of this discomfort and itching while I wait to see my OBGYN
