I have been taking Metormin and have changed to Actos to see if anything can rid me of the bad taste in my mouth while on this medication.

Is there a better drug? My A1c has fluctuated from 6 to 6.9

Hi,
We thankfully are in a time where we have many medications available for treating diabetes,so you have several other options if you are having side effects while on metformin. The choice will depend on other aspects of your health however so I cannot simply recommend one without knowing your history. This is one to speak with your doctor at length about at your next appointment.  Overall your A1C is good, so atleast you are on a good track with your diabetes overall.
Take care.
