Could TSH level cause symptoms

by Merce, Mar 05, 2008 12:20PM
I am a 51 y male who has a lot of weird symptoms, I have A-fib that happens every month or so - then goes away.  IrritableIrritable bowel syndrome, hungry all the time, restless - yet tired.  Just got back my results of my thyroid panel and they all seem in the "normal" range.  My TSH is .880 - could this be the cause of my symptoms even though eveything else seems okay FreeT4 is 1.19 and T3 123 - any thoughts???

Your thyroid labs are completely normal and are not the likely cause of these symptoms.  IBS & tired/wired could be a sign of anxiety/depression - but talk to your general doc about other possibilities first
