Pancreatitus

by VERONICA1022, Mar 05, 2008 01:01PM
I had a stint put into my pancreas because it was not working properly...when i came home from the hospital i ended up back in the hospital with Severe Pancreatitus.  I am still having some problems...but the doctor has not been able to figure out what is causing the inflamation.  I have had several test...ERCP, MRCP, CT SCAN, MRI...etc.  I am going to the doctor.

Could pancreatitus also be contributing to me not being able to lose weight?

Ask the doc to check you for autoimmune pancreatitis, and also ask your doc if your gallbladder/sludge could be contributing to the problem.

A lot of people with a variety of GI issues including Crohn's find that they can't lose weight. Despite the fact that they're not taking in enough nutrients to supposedly sustain their weight, they don't lose. In fact, some people gain.
