Planning pregnancy after miscarriage

by gaze070, Mar 05, 2008 01:42PM
I am a 34 year old female.  My 1st child is nearly 3 years old. Conceived right away, no problems w/ preg or birth.  B/F for 15 months.  Recently miscarried @ 9 weeks (missed miscarriage) fetus was measured at only 5 weeks tho.  We conceived right away.  I miscarried on Jan 8th/08. I would like to try again SOON but my MD said to wait another cycle.

My last ultrasound showed all had passed but my uterine lining was a bit thick or irregular thickness. I had the u/s done only four days after my 1st period since the miscarriage.  I don't have long painful periods, cysts or endomet. I am anxious to try again at the end of this month, March. That would be 11 weeks since my miscarriage.  Is that normal? My tsh was low during most of this  .25 - .50 but my t3 and t4 were normal.

Thanks

Hi, I also had a miscarriage (2nd), Feb 8,08 at 5.5 weeks.  I have an 18month old that I had no problems with either.  I don't know about the uterus lining but I am just wondering why you mentioned your tsh levels?  Do you have thyroid problems.  I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism post the birth of my son.  I have miscarried twice since then (nov 28. 07).  I do believe there is a connection.  Also some people advise waiting a few cycles for your body to readjust.  I get pregnant after my first period.  Maybe it was too soon? I am still waiting to have further testing done.  Would like to know what you think?
