MRI clarification

by kim108, Mar 05, 2008 11:19PM
Hello, Can you please clarify the impression I received from my MRI reading: " Hyperintense lesions in subcortical and deep white matter of both cerebral hemispheres are most suspicious for demyelinating disease in a  woman this age. "  What dies al this mean and should I be concerned?  I'm 51. I understand that usually these lesions are seen in the elderly and associated with dementia , is this correct?
