If at 49 and with progesterone for 7 days I don't have a period....the lining is thick...
Would I need a D& C or hysterectomy?
The lining needs to come out.

Hello,

See my prior reply.  In your case the thickness of the lining is not so important as you have had bleeding and are on Tamoxifen.  However, you do need to have the endometrium sampled (whether by biopsy or D&C) to assess for abnormal tissue.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
