Concerned about Isoniazid use.

I am on the 4rth month of taking Isoniazid and have some concerns.  (Latent TB)  I have read online that if you miss too many doses, the medication may not work.  I have never missed more than two days in a row, but I have missed some days.  One weekend out of town I forgot to take the pills with me and missed it for two days.  Another time I was not able to take the medication because my stomach was upset from something bad I ate and was too quesy to keep anything down.  A third time I missed a day because the pharmacy ran out of the medication and had to order more.  I will talk to my doctor, but have I messed up the cycle?  Should I stop taking the medication?

I'm afraid to tell my doctor because I think he may get upset.  I'm concerned about my situation.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

You are fine.  Just continue to do your best to take the isoniazid every day.  An occasional missed dose is of no consequence.  Your current degree of adherence will provide optimum benefit.
