HPV FREE?

by baybeethick, Mar 06, 2008 06:37PM
If your doctor tells you a year after having a diagnosis of the low grade hpv that your pap results came back negative, does that mean that you are cured? Or is every yearly checkup for the rest of your life a nail biting experience? If you no longer have hpv, can your partner re- infect you in the similiar fashion as other stds?

the HPV virus can clear the body which means it will not show on a pap...but will go in2 dormancy stage in the body.Yes ur partner can re-infect u with other std's and u can catch another strain of HPV...wart bearing 6 and 11 and one of another 30 diff strains that takes up rental space on the cervix.

It is possible for you to be virus free. I have been told this by both my son's dr. and my GYN ... She said that if I had gone 8 year's without an outbreak, then it's safe to say that the virus is out of my system and I am HPV free.... It is possible. And most people think that it's just a guy that can infect a female, but it goes both ways... Males can infect females, and females/males..... Not only that, but I have spoken with a close friend of mine who is a PA... It is possible to get rid of the virus completely afer a certain amount of time.

How did you stop the outbreaks? I have been having outbreaks for a year now and they are now inside and my gyno says she cannot do anything for them. If you have an answer for me please let me know. I am going out of my mind with this thing.
