what pain medication can we take?

I have been so sick latley. The drs gave me a steriold shot, antobotics, and an inhalayer. He had cracked my ribs back in place saying I mis loacated one. omg.. felt wonderful..  anyway...yet still sore from the bruising I guess.  I may of did too much yesterday....but last night... Im back at the tightness in my chest and this icky dry cough... I either hurt another rib or its getting worse. ugh... If I wasnt preg.. I know alive would fix me right up.
has anyone taken pain meds for the pain while preg? I may need to call my dr and get something for the pain. I think if my ribs didnt hurt so bad, I could prob. cough some of this stuff up. I just hope I had a bad night and just need time for my rib to heal. Tylonol is a joke!

thanks vsentz... your sweet.. I have a dr appt. at 130 today.. he want an exray. and go figure... schools are closing due to snow.
the nurse is going to call me back. maybe he will just get me some pain pills.

I am no savvy when it comes to pain meds, but i can give you a big HUG and hope you feel much better as the days go by....

I was given loratab 5 for a infected  tooth last week! also t hey say that vicodin is safe as well, as I seen a doc give this a women in the ER that was 3 months pg!

tylenol pm I have. Ill try that first. great.. my poor baby cant get any rest!!!  took the gluecose test yesterday and boy was she throwing a fit! OB told me the steriold shot might throw it off.. geez... always something!  will add this site to my favorites.. u never know when u need it asap.

Gosh Darn woman, you still sick? Man I do feel for you! I thought I was getting something last week after DH and DS had it but I lucked out and didn't pick it up thank god! The only thing I seem to be dealing with is the weird sleeping hours! UGH!!

Anyways.. I have this website that I go to that says what you can take for pain is.... Darvocet N 100, Tylenol #3, Vicodin, Tylox, Tylenol, Tylenol PM, Tylenol Extra Strength.

oh... try the Eucalyptus oil in a hot shower / warm bath or get them  sudacare shower soothers. The kind I always get are the lavender mint and boy do they smell good and helps clear the breathing!

My doctor prescribed tylenol #3 for sciatic pain.  You poor thing!!  I thought I had it bad w/my bronchitis - mine was a walk in the park compared to what you're going through.  Anyway, the tylenol #3 helped somewhat - I do believe it has codeine in it but can't remember.  I hope you get to feeling better!!!

good idea... I will fill the tub up and try to cough with my chest under water.  Oh... you can hear the girggling when I try to cough... just wont come up because my ribs hurt so darn much.
oh wonderful... more winter weather? I have buttercups out!!!... aawwww...

My doc gave me a cough medicine with codeine which is also a pain reliever.  I don't know if it would help your pain, but it sure did help the cough.  If you could give yourself a break from coughing maybe your ribs would have time to heal up a bit.  I only took tylenol and soaked in a tub for the pain.  I never had a fever, but hurt all over like I did, really achy.  You are up early!!  I know how you feel though, I was miserable last week, thought I was going to die, but feel much better this week.  I was really hoping you weren't getting sick when I last pm you.  You ready for the snow that is coming???
