is there a relationshio of brain atrophy with a child of 11 yrs old,diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 9 yrs old. she had previous history of kawasaki disease at 4 months old,any relation with present condition

Hello.

Kawasaki disease is a small vessel inflammation. It does have some effects on the developing brain. But there is no conclusive evidence which shows that it is directly related to cerebral atrophy.

How is the child doing in school? And is the epilepsy controlled by medicine?
