Ovulating after miscarriage

by 2Healthyboys, Mar 07, 2008 07:43AM
I recently had a miscarriage that started January 29th and ended February 5th, I have a fertility monitor, so I know that i was ovulating the 12th and 13th.  So How soon will I be able to tell if I'm pregnant, if I don't get my period?  I know that your hcg level stays higher than normal for 4-6 weeks after, so I am thinking that I wouldn't be able to do a home pregnancy test until around the 15th of March, or is there  a different way to go about finding out before that?  I took a home pregnancy test on the 28th of February and had a + test, tried to confirm it at the doctor, but couldn't get in until the 3rd of March.  By then I started to bleed and when at the doctor, they had a - test result.  Could it be that I just had an inaccurate test reading at home, or could it be another miscarriage

It sounds to me like your BFP at home was inaccurrate due to the recent miscarriage. I would think that you were having a normal cycle in early March based upon how long it had been since your last cycle. Best wishes to you for a quick conception and a healthy pregnancy!
