Diabetes - Juvenile Community

Hello ,
I need your urgent help with regards to dietary suggestions for people suffering from diabeties and high creatine levels .

Do we have different considerations for male and female patients ?
pls suggest food to take and to avoid under such conditions .

Pls help as my father is suffering from diabeties from the past 3 years and my mom-in law from the last 15 years ,pls suggest .

Hi.  I'm not a medical professional, just the parent of a kid with diabetes.  Having too much creatine is typically a sign of kidney damage.  Have your parents been tested for these complications from their diabetes?  If not, I would suggest they visit their doctors soon to get tested and treatment if necessary.

As for diet, vegetables have no creatine, so they would be an essential part of any diet, and especially one for a diabetic.  Meats have higher creatine levels, so cutting back on meats would also be a possibility.  But I suspect their higher creatine levels are not because of diet, but because of kidney complications.  Please continue to work with their doctor to check for those issues.
