COPD and pleurisy

by lyric1863, Mar 07, 2008 04:35PM
Is it common (or not uncommon) to have pleurisy as a result of COPD?

My husband is an ex-smoker, a bone-marrow transplant recipient and has recently been diagnosed with pleurisy and pleural effusions.  There was also a small diffuse infilitrate in his left lung.  I am very worried.
