rpr related to lupus

by MAMAB904, Mar 07, 2008 08:53PM
While pregnant I tested with a reactive RPR, titer of 1:4, negative for syphillis as was my husband. I miscarried a week later. I was pregnant 3 months later and tested reactive again with a titer of 1:1, negative for syphillis. I was asked by my OB-GYN if anyone in my family had ever had lupus, but no farther testing or treatment was done. I had a subchorianic hemorage during this pregnancy and delivered by stat csection at 32 weeks due to a footling breech. They were unable to stop labor. One week later my csection reopened due to a bleed. I ended up having another surgery to find what was bleeding, nothing was found. I was closed back up with a drainage bottle for the bleeding. The bleeding eventually stopped and the bottle was removed. My csection reoped due to an abcess. Since anytime I get a cut I have a difficult time healing. I have occasional numbness and tingling in upper left side of body, occasional dizziness with blurred vision, I once lost all vision
in left eye. Should I be concerned. Could this rpr mean lupus or something else.
