infant eye rolling

Shortly after my 16 month old grandson turned 1 year and had his 12 month immunizations and also started eating table food, his eyes started rolling back in his head for a few seconds about 5 or 6 times a day.  He was on soy formula until then, when we switched to whole milk.  We heard it could be a food allergy, so we took him off gluten and milk.  It seemed to get better for a few weeks, but it is back.  When it first started it looked totally uncontrolled.  Now it looks like his eyes are bothering him.  He will rub his eyes or stick a finger in his eyes when it happens.  Sometimes he will start shaking his head (like he is saying no) and rolling his eyes and doesnt want to stop.  He had a normal EEG and MRI and the neurologist and pediatrition dont know what it is.  It is very disturbing and worrisome to family.

I have not heard of any food allergy causing issues with the eyes in the matter you stated. Sorry I am unable to help you.

My daughter is 2 and she is doing the same exact thing.  I am currently having a nervous break down because no one seems to know what is going on.  She also had normal results from testing.  Have you heard anything else since this has happened.
